The Ducks of Keystone Lake

At Keystone Lake, we maintain a great level of pride for our wildlife. We have raised and nurtured most of our little friends ourselves. Our many families of ducks will win your heart as they float around our lake. However, our ducks will not be the only feathered friends who will be gliding across our waters.

Our swan Rosey gracefully presents herself for all of our residents to gaze at. We have built a custom, cartoon-like duck house inside of a private pen to protect our ducklings from nature until they are ready to be let loose onto the lake. You may also notice our cartoon-like “Duck Crossing” signs keeping residents aware of our feathered friends. Some residents wake up early to watch the ducks waddle along the lawn back and forth around the lake for their morning feeding.

Ducks at Keystone Lake

The Duckhouse

Phyllis Dillar

Keystone Lake will always be home to the ducks in our community. They socialize and wander around the lake between meals. However, when a mother duck prepares to lay her eggs, she carefully selects a cozy, well hidden area to build her new hideaway.

This will be her new home for quite some time. She will only leave her nest to feed or to fend off predators. Soon you will be able to see the mother duck proudly marching her family of ducklings in and around our lake.

From our silly looking “Phyllis Dillar” ducks to Rosey, the graceful swan, the wildlife at Keystone Lake adds the perfect touch to the luxury living experience. The careful attention to every detail in our rental homes will catch your eye; the nurturing nature of our community will win your heart!
